Arsenal and Liverpool have both shown interest in signing Argentine striker Julián Álvarez from Atlético Madrid, but recent developments suggest that a transfer is unlikely. Liverpool had Álvarez on their shortlist last summer, and his agent confirmed the club’s past interest. However, Liverpool’s current stance indicates that they are unlikely to pursue the striker in the upcoming transfer window, focusing instead on more affordable options. Arsenal, on the other hand, are actively seeking a top striker to bolster their attacking options after finishing second in the Premier League for three consecutive seasons. Despite their interest, Atlético Madrid’s firm position on not selling Álvarez makes a transfer challenging.
