Chelsea are actively pursuing key transfers this summer, focusing on strengthening their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season. Two prominent targets are AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan and Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike.

🧤 Mike Maignan – Goalkeeper

Chelsea are in negotiations with AC Milan for French goalkeeper Mike Maignan. Milan values Maignan at €25–30 million, while Chelsea has offered €10 million, citing his age and expiring contract. Despite the valuation gap, both clubs aim to resolve the issue with further talks planned soon.

Maignan is considered one of Europe’s top goalkeepers, known for his reflexes, distribution, and leadership qualities. His potential arrival could lead to the departure of current Chelsea goalkeepers Kepa Arrizabalaga and Robert Sánchez.

⚽ Hugo Ekitike – Striker

Chelsea are also targeting French striker Hugo Ekitike from Eintracht Frankfurt. Frankfurt has set a firm valuation of €100 million for Ekitike, who scored 19 goals and provided 7 assists in 37 games last season.

Chelsea has explored including RC Strasbourg’s Dilane Bakwa in the deal, as Frankfurt has long-term interest in Bakwa. However, Frankfurt remains unmoved on their valuation.

Ekitike’s impressive form has attracted interest from other Premier League clubs, including Arsenal.

Chelsea’s pursuit of Maignan and Ekitike reflects their commitment to strengthening the squad for the upcoming season. The club aims to finalize these deals promptly to ensure the new signings integrate seamlessly

into the team.
