JUST IN: Sean Manaea Reportedly Signs 3-Year, $75M Contract After Juan Soto Deal…… CHECK ๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž FOR MORE DETAILS

The New York Mets have re-signed left-handed pitcher Sean Manaea to a three-year, $75 million contract, following their record-breaking acquisition of outfielder Juan Soto. Manaea, who played a pivotal role in the Mets’ 2024 season, posted a 12-6 record with a 3.47 ERA over 32 starts. His performance was instrumental in leading the team to an unexpected National League Championship Series appearance.

Manaea’s success was partly attributed to a midseason adjustment in his pitching technique, where he lowered his arm slot to emulate Atlanta Braves’ ace Chris Sale. This change resulted in a 3.09 ERA over his final 12 regular-season games. In the postseason, he maintained his form, achieving a 2-1 record with a 4.74 ERA and 19 strikeouts across four starts.

This signing is part of the Mets’ aggressive offseason strategy under owner Steve Cohen, who has committed over $900 million to free agents, including the historic 15-year, $765 million deal for Juan Soto. The Mets have also bolstered their pitching roster with right-handers Frankie Montas and Clay Holmes, aiming to strengthen their rotation for the upcoming season.
