According to CBS Sports, Texas Longhorns Arch Manning is the top prospect in the 2026 NFL mock draft.

When Arch Manning replaces Quinn Ewers as the starting quarterback in 2025, the Texas Longhorns will be preparing for a new era. Steve Sarkisian, the head coach, is aware of the expectations the Longhorns will have for the 2025 campaign.

For the first time since the 2005 season, Texas has an opportunity to win a national championship. Manning wants to join players like Vince Young in this football program’s history books. Manning will undoubtedly be discussed in relation to the Heisman Trophy in the 2025 NFL season. In the 2026 NFL Draft, will he be selected among the top picks?

CBS Sports writer Josh Edwards created his top 50 prospects for the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. He thinks that Manning is number one on the list. Edwards said,

Manning weighs 225 pounds and is 6’4″. He completed 67.8% of his throws for 939 yards, nine touchdowns, and two interceptions in the 2024 Texas collegiate football season. During the 2024 college football season, he also scored a few rushing touchdowns. There is no question that he will contribute more to the Longhorns’ 2025 college football campaign.

Texas will need to perform at a Heisman Trophy level if he is to win a national championship. Even though he might just be a one-year starter for this football team, he has a good possibility of declaring for the 2026 NFL Draft if he wins the Heisman Trophy and everything else. Manning, though, has the option to remain a two-year starter for this football team and enter the 2027 NFL Draft.
