BREAKING NEWS: Canberra raiders sign Moale; Lemuelu extends at Dolphins See More….

The Melbourne Storm have continued their roster renewal with the signing of former Rabbitoh Davvy Moale on a one-year contract.

Moale has been granted an immediate release by South Sydney and will move to Victoria for the 2026 season before joining the Sea Eagles on a three-year deal starting in 2027.

The contract comes just a day after the Storm extended emerging Samoan forward Ativalu Lisati on a two-year contract through to the end of 2027.

Melbourne football boss Frank Ponissi said Moale’s arrival will add vital depth to the pack next season.

“We’re really pleased to be bringing Davvy into our ranks for 2026,” Ponissi said. “He is a powerful forward who will complement our current group of forwards well.

“Davvy’s first-grade experience will be important to add after having a number of young forwards promoted from our pathways system.

“We’ve had success with short term deals in the past and know Davvy will apply himself in our system for the time he is here and be a real asset in 2026.”

The Storm have spent the summer renewing their forward pack following the departure of Nelson Asofa-Solomona and a season-ending injury to Eli Katoa.

Lisati has been rewarded for a breakout year in 2025, featuring in 14 games and playing a key role in the side’s charge to the grand final.

The Storm have experienced a tumultuous off-season and the contract extension for Lisati is the latest step in their bid to regenerate their roster.

“We’re delighted to have Ativalu locked in for the next two years,” Storm football boss Frank Ponissi said.

“He showed throughout 2025 that he’s a player of great potential, and we’re excited to see him continue to grow and develop as part of our squad.”

Foundation Dolphin Connelly Lemuelu has signed a contract extension through to the end of the 2027 season.

The edge forward has racked up 61 games for the Dolphins since joining the club in 2023 from the Cowboys.
