Five players that would have been better options for the MLB the Show 24 cover
If you are making a baseball game, maybe you should put the best player in baseball on the cover? That would make a lot of sense to me. The Show did not do that last year either, as they had Jazz Chisholm Jr of the Miami Marlins on the cover. Acuña and Shohei Ohtani are the two most electrifying players in baseball right now. Ohtani was already on the cover so he won’t make this list, but Acuna should.
(Ed note: Supposedly, an exclusivity deal for Ronald’s involvement with the MLB Clutch Hit Baseball video game prevented Ronald from being eligible for the cover, but it’s the 5th ever 40/40 season – where there’s a will, there’s a way.)
MLB the Show announced their new cover athlete as When oronto Blue Jays first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for the 2024 edition of the game, it came as a shock to a lot of people, including fans of the Atlanta Braves. San Diego Studios made claims that the player was a Top 5 player in the league and possibly a Top 3 player. I don’t agree with that but to each their own. Today, we are going to look at five players who I think deserved to be on the cover instead of Vlad Jr.
