Burnley’s matchup at home in the Premier League has a new date announced.

The home Premier League match between Luton and Burnley has been moved to Tuesday, October 3, with a kickoff time of 7.30 p.m.

Due to the need to totally rebuild the Bobbers Stand after being promoted to the top division, the initial game had to be postponed to give the Hatters enough time to finish it.

The Clarets will go to Bedfordshire at the beginning of next month now that everything has been accomplished. Town opened their home season against West Ham United on Friday night.

We can confirm that our home Premier League match against Burnley will now take place on Tuesday, October 3rd, according to a statement on the club’s official website.

“The game between the two teams promoted from the Championship together in May was initially set for Saturday, August 19, but it was postponed to give more time for the new Bobbers Stand at Kenilworth Road to be finished.

“Kick-off will take place at the earlier than usual time of 7.30pm, with a ticket sales plan to be announced in due course.”

Burnley is currently bottom of the table after being destroyed 5-2 by Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. Like Luton, they have yet to win any of their first three games in the top division this season.
