Target for Rangers’ top manager is mentioned in contract offer claim.
The Rangers rushed rapidly to find a replacement for Michael Beale, and it appears that they have one in Philippe Clement.
The Belgian is allegedly the favoured candidate in the two-horse contest alongside Kevin Muscat, according to a report from Saudi Arabia, but if he agrees and is unsuccessful, it will cost us.
According to Al-Riyadiah, Philippe Clement has received a contract from the Rangers that demonstrates the board’s long-term support for him.
Philippe Clement receives a contract offer from Rangers
When it was revealed that the former manager of Monaco had been offered the position of manager at Al-Shabab, it appeared that James Bisgrove had missed out on the 49-year-old.
However, as stated in the report, Philippe Clement appears to have changed his mind after signing a four-year contract and receiving a generous incentive package should he perform well for Rangers:
“If the team wins the league, cup, and super championships and qualifies for the Champions League, the contract includes various incentives and privileges for the coach.
The administration of the Scottish club included a clause into the agreement stating that neither party could end the agreement without paying the other party the full amount of the agreement.
Clement has a history of success and participation in European play, having won many league and cup titles in Belgium.
In addition, Nicolas Raskin, a fellow Belgian, gave him the thumbs up for his attack-oriented, dynamic style of play.
However, if the contract is accurate, it does have a narrative.
After firing Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Michael Beale, the last thing we need is to spend millions again on a new management team this time next year, so it appears that there will be a long-term strategy.
