Nottingham: Team considering contract for the star……

Derby Forest: Midlands team considering a move for the “quality” Premier League winner.

Steve Cooper determined not to be dragged down by pressure of the job

Steve Cooper might receive additional high-level support…

Before making an astounding number of new recruits and winning back to the Premier League last season, some could have wondered if Nottingham Forest had overextended themselves in the summer window, throwing Steve Cooper’s team out of balance. But after a year, the Midlands club is capable of easily securing their second consecutive season of survival in England’s top division.

A team looking to put some distance between themselves and the dropzone should be winning Forest’s pivotal six-point match against Luton Town in their first game back following the international break.

Players like Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi have been especially effective for Forest, leading their team to their most memorable moment of the season—a 1-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Despite Cooper’s plenty of attacking options, City Ground officials are apparently still considering a January transfer window move for one wantaway forward, maybe as a result of Awoniyi’s injury.

The most recent transfer rumor involving Michy Batshuayi appears to be good for Forest as well. The forward has apparently asked to quit his current team, Fenerbahce, according to the Turkish newspaper Sozcu. Forest and RC Lens are reportedly chasing the former Premier League winner, who will reportedly only cost €10 million (£9 million).

One might easily argue that Forest doesn’t need Batshuayi with Awoniyi, Origi, and Chris Wood available up top. But with his Premier League background, desire to move for greater playing time, and affordable price, he would be a viable choice to add that extra layer of depth in case any more injuries occur.

What is Michy Batshuayi’s goal total?
Batshuayi, who is now 30 years old, has dropped down the Fenerbahce hierarchy and no longer starts for the team. To his credit, though, the forward has performed well when given the chance. Batshuayi has made three Super League starts this season, and his stats are excellent. He has scored twice, assisted once, and scored in a start for the Europa Conference League. The former Borussia Dortmund player appears to only require regular playing time.

It was interesting to see not just the player—I kind of knew the quality Michy had and it’s always good to see that up close—but also the personality, according to former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard, who expressed his admiration for Batshuayi via the club’s official website.

“Since the beginning of the season, his training methods, attitude, and quality when he plays—which is undoubtedly the most crucial aspect—have all been excellent.

It’s difficult for Tammy to establish a solid foothold in the team and score goals on a regular basis. The same applies to Oli [Giroud]. Michy has demonstrated how to handle that in every possible way. He has performed admirably for us thus far, and maintaining a positive attitude even when you aren’t playing frequently is beneficial to the team as a whole, not just to him because it may be difficult at times. For such, he truly merits special recognition. He is upbeat, diligent, and enjoys scoring goals.”
