Stefon Diggs injury latest as Buffalo Bills announce superstar WR is suffering with back problem ahead of NFL week 10.
THE Buffalo Bills added star wide receiver Stefon Diggs to their injury report on Friday.
Buffalo’s unexpected injury issue concerning Diggs comes as the team prepares for their Monday Night Football game against the Denver Broncos in Week 10.
Diggs practiced fully on Thursday but was an addition to the Bills’ injury report on Friday.
Buffalo listed the three-time Pro Bowler as a limited participant with a back injury.
The Bills won’t put any injury designations until Saturday since they play on MNF.
It’s the first time in the 2023-24 season that Diggs has been on the team’s injury report.
If Diggs is limited or even out in Week 10, Buffalo will turn to a wide-receiver group that includes Gabe Davis, Khalil Shakir, Trent Sherfield, and Deonte Harty.
For the season, Diggs has led the NFL in catches (70) for 834 yards and seven touchdowns.
He has been Josh Allen’s favorite target since 2020, posting 408 receptions for 5,023 yards.
Diggs hasn’t missed a game since the 2019 season, when he was a member of the Minnesota Vikings.
Buffalo has a 5-4 record and is coming off a 24-18 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Sunday Night Football in Week 9.
The Bills will play the 3-5 Broncos on Monday.
As for the rest of Buffalo’s injury report, cornerback Christian Benford didn’t participate in practice for the second straight day due to a hamstring issue.
Safety Micah Hyde has also missed the last two practices with a neck/stinger injury.
Linebacker Terrel Bernard was limited due to a concussion.
