Breaking news: Matt Lafleur said it is no longer a rivalry but….

Chicago Bears QB Justin Fields Takes Savage Shot at All of Green Bay Ahead of Week 18 Rivalry Gamew.

Justin Fields, Chicago Bears, Green Bay Packers

Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields is not falling behind when it comes to the trash-talk game, especially if it involves defending the Windy City franchise against the Green Bay Packers.

The Bears and Packers are set to meet in Week 18 in what is a must-win game for the Cheeseheads. While Green Bay is already out of the playoffs, Green Bay still has something left to play for. If the Packers win, they are going to the postseason.

Naturally, the expectations are high that Jordan Love and Co. will be able to take care of business when they close the season at Lambeau Field. The Green Bay faithful are also projected to be loud come gameday as they try to rally the team to victory.

In a rather savage message to Packers fans, though, Justin Fields said that he’s expecting as much from the rival fans since they have nothing to do in Wisconsin anyway. Yikes!Ezoic

“Their fans are gonna be loud because there’s not much to do in Green Bay except watch football,” Fields exclaimed while talking to reporters on Wednesday, via Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team.

Justin Fields couldn’t have been more brutal than that. But, what do fans expect from the Green Bay Packers’ most hated rivals? The Chicago Bears can’t absolutely afford to lose Week 18, especially since it means their archenemies will make the postseason while they will be at home thinking of what the future holds in 2024.

At least Fields and the Bears can make things a little more difficult for the Packers–who would need the other playoff chasers to lose in order to make it should they end up bowing down to Chicago.

Aaron Rodgers Trolls Justin Fields, Chicago Bears

It’s worth noting that Justin Fields’ trash-talk comes after former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers fueled the rivalry even more and mocked the Chicago Bears.

During his latest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers insulted the Bears as he showed support for the Packers. The now New York Jets QB–who spent years being Chicago’s Boogeyman–highlighted that he doesn’t think it’s a rivalry anymore since the Windy City franchise hasn’t beaten his former team for many years now. In fact, Matt LaFleur is 9-0 against Chicago since taking over Green Bay in 2019.

“Is it a rivalry anymore? If they can’t beat us, is it a rivalry?” Rodgers said, adding: “Matt Lafleur has never lost to the Bears and Jordan Love is pretty damn good.”

Whether Fields’ recent message is in response to that or he’s simply playing the mind game to annoy the Packers and get them off of their game, one thing is certain: Sunday’s finale between the Bears and Packers will be intense and full of emotions and energy.
