But now, Windler is reportedly heading to his third NBA team after a record-breaking performance in the NBA G-League last night.

According to ESPN Senior NBA Insider Adrian Wojnarowski, the 27-year-old has agreed to a Two-Way Contract with the Los Angeles Lakers.

This new contract agreement comes less than a day after he scored 23 points and grabbed an NBA G-League record 33 rebounds in a game for the New York Knicks’ G-League affiliate Westchester Knicks.

Despite averaging just 2.3 rebounds per game in his NBA career so far, Windler has excelled as a rebounder during his basketball career. He averaged 10.1 rebounds per game over his final two collegiate seasons at Belmont University.

Windler became a free agent this past offseason after the Cavaliers decided to not extend a qualifying offer to him.

He then signed a contract with the Knicks in late July of 2023, appearing in three NBA games with them this season.

The swingman unfortunately suffered multiple injuries during his time with Cleveland, such as a fractured shooting hand in his first career NBA game, and a significant ankle injury last season.
