Several days after his official release with a Post-June 1 designation, veteran free agent wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. shared what seems to be a farewell message to Charm City and fans of the Baltimore Ravens across Instagram on Sunday. In the post, he expressed gratitude for their warm reception and acceptance during his single season with the team.

I swear, I appreciate the Flock more than anyone could ever imagine,” Beckham Jr. wrote. “I did everything I could with the opportunities I had. I wish I could have done more for you all. Thank you for the vibes! To the City of Baltimore, I’m with you forever for real. And most importantly, to my brothers over there, this is a lifelong bond, I love you all! Biggest Truzzz.”

The three-time Pro Bowler signed a one-year contract worth $15 million on Easter Sunday last April, which played a key role in securing franchise quarterback Lamar Jackson’s long-term extension later that month, coinciding with the first day of the 2023 NFL Draft.

Beckham Jr. had a strong comeback year after missing the entire 2022 season due to a torn ACL he sustained while helping the Los Angeles Rams win Super Bowl 56. He played in 14 games, starting six, and ranked in the top three on the team with 35 receptions (third) on 64 targets (second), totaling 565 receiving yards (second), and scoring three touchdowns (fourth).
