If the first day of training camp for the Green Bay Packers was marked by tension, the second one was a scene of joyous reunion.
Randall Cobb brought this happiness as he returned to the practice field in Green Bay after two seasons with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Texans.
With a wide smile, Cobb joined his new teammates after being acquired by the Packers via trade, a move aimed at appeasing Aaron Rodgers.
For Cobb, returning to Lambeau Field was a moment of relief, admitting he and his wife were overwhelmed with emotion upon hearing of the trade back to Green Bay. Teammates even remarked that he seemed as if a heavy burden had been lifted. Now, he looks forward to another chance to pursue a championship alongside his close friend Rodgers.
In other news, Rodgers officially signed a reworked deal, which voids the final year of his contract in 2023. This move also frees up nearly $10 million in salary cap space for the Packers in 2021 by converting salary into a bonus.
